A family from Utah in the United States has once again welcomed their beloved kitty back home after she was accidentally mailed to California, as reported by RMF24. The story of this unusual traveler, Galeana, touched the hearts of millions after she was found by an Amazon employee.
It all started when their four-legged friend disappeared from their Utah home, hopping into a box prepared for return. Unnoticed by humans, she was shipped to California. After a week of absence, the cat was found by an Amazon worker who noticed her presence in a box filled with work boots.
Despite enduring several days without food and water, she could breathe thanks to the box’s ventilation. Fortunately, the temperature inside was moderate, preventing her from overheating or getting too cold.
Upon being found, the cat was identified through the microchip implanted in her. A veterinarian scanned the chip, and the owner was informed of her discovery.
“At first, I couldn’t believe it was true,” said Carrie Clark, Galeana’s owner.
Galeana, who loves boxes, surely rejoiced at returning home. Her joy was as immense as that of her family, who had to traverse over a thousand miles to reclaim her.
