The popular Planet Fitness High School Summer Pass program is back for 2024! From June 1st to August 31st, high schoolers ages 14 – 19 can sign up for free access to one of over 2,400 locations.

You can pre-register NOW both online or in-club.

Note that a parent/guardian must sign the electronic waiver for teens under 18 when enrolling online or accompany the child when signing up in-club. An e-mail address is required, and a school e-mail ending in .edu is not recommended.

Once your teen is signed up for the High School Summer Pass they will need to download the free Planet Fitness App and use the same email address used to sign up to create an account in the app. Starting June 1st, the app will automatically link their High School Summer Pass digital club pass so they can access their club of choice.

It’s important to keep in mind that teens can only work out at the location they signed up for. You can re-register for a different location if needed, but it will void your previous registration.

Just be aware that my 16 year old son ended up signing a contract and was charged a yearly fee only a few months in- then later had to pay $60 to end the contract! I was very upset with the policy and felt he was very much taken advantage of!

Oh no! So sorry to hear that, Drue. 😔 Thanks for the heads up on your son’s experience. This offer is listed as completely free for the three months. Were you able to reach out to customer service?

My husband is going to go talk to the manager- we wanted him to handle it himself- but that did not work out well lol- it’s a good life’s lesson to always understand what you are signing!! I was most upset about the yearly fee- he had only had the account for a few months

Ok good! Hoping they can resolve it all for you really soon. ❤️🤞 Great lesson for sure! ❤️

That bothers me that a company had a 16 year old sign for anything! I’m sorry but the US recognizes 18 as the minimum legal age…I know the kids want to exercise independence but a business should insist on parental involvement for something like this! Post what happens if you remember & thanks fellow saver 🙂

I was surprised as well that he could sign a contract! The location is about 45 minutes away so we don’t get down there often but we plan to make a point to go in person to talk to the manager!

I’m not a lawyer, but can a 16 y/o even legally sign a contract without parental consent? That makes zero sense to me. In any event, did he happen to charge it (any of it), I would be disputing that charge. Good luck.

He used his debit card 😭

One of our neighbors said they told their teen they needed to have a card on file…it was a bit of a mix up at the end of the free session. They told them someone the membership was opened as a regular account. I don’t know if signing up online would help…but I still may just pay for the rec membership for them. Our rec gym costs less than $50 for the year under 17. Only downfall, the gym is not painted in purple & yellow 😂
