TONEY, Ala. (WHNT) — A local law firm recently stepped in to help students who had a school lunch debt balance.

Johnston, Moore & Weston in Huntsville said they reached out to Madison County Schools in order to help pay off lunch debts and Madison Cross Roads Elementary School was in need.

On April 26, the law firm stepped in and presented the school with a $1,000 check, although the school only needed $700, to pay off any remaining debts.

Johnston, Moore & Weston told News 19 they wanted to help get students through the end of the school year.
