During a protest in St. Louis, Missouri, presidential candidate for the USA from the Green Party, Jill Stein, along with leading members of her campaign staff, were detained.

The incident occurred during a protest against the university’s investment in Boeing’s stock, a company that supplies ammunition used in Gaza.

According to a statement from the campaign staff, more than a hundred people were detained, including Stein, campaign manager Jason Kozma, and his deputy, Kelly Merrill-Kaiyer. Protesters demanded the university to sever ties with Boeing due to its role in the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Stein, a well-known activist and former presidential candidate, has advocated for the protection of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and supported student protests in defense of Palestine. The detention occurred against the backdrop of widespread protests against the Israeli operation in Gaza, during which American police have detained about 900 people in the last ten days.
