The investigation into the murder case of two Ukrainian soldiers in the town of Murnau in southern Bavaria has revealed details. According to BR24, the victims and the suspect were acquainted and had spent time together consuming alcohol before the tragedy occurred.

A local resident who witnessed the incident shared with journalists that the suspect and his victims were friends and had recently consumed alcohol together.

Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann noted that alcohol could have been a contributing factor in the incident. According to him, witnesses indicated that all participants in the incident had consumed a large amount of alcohol.

According to the initial police investigation, a quarrel occurred between the victims and the 57-year-old suspect. Both victims, aged 36 and 23, were Ukrainian citizens serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, undergoing medical rehabilitation in Germany.
