Three adults have been charged in south-east Queensland over the alleged kidnapping of a 10-year-old boy that triggered a violent confrontation in a suburban street, Daily Mail reported.

Video from last Friday’s incident in Logan showed family and friends of the boy running at an SUV as they try to rescue the boy from inside.

The mother can be held yelling “Give our son back” as the group attempts to pry the door open.

The men inside the car were allegedly armed with machetes.

During the struggle, the child’s father was allegedly assaulted and knocked unconscious while the mother’s leg was run over. The boy was freed during the wild confrontation and the three men sped away in their vehicle.

They were spotted a short distance down the road by police and arrested. The boy was reunited with his family. The confrontation came after the boy was allegedly snatched by three men from a nearby skate park last Friday.

Police believe it was caused by reports the boy threw a rock at their car.
