In the Turkish city of Adıyaman, two law enforcement officers were killed in a shooting at a police station. The assailant turned out to be a colleague of the victims, who used his service weapon in the attack. Other police officers wounded the perpetrator in the leg and placed him under arrest, according to Kocaeli Gundem.

The victims of the shooting were the police station chief and the head of public order. The police officer who opened fire on his colleagues was neutralized and taken into custody.

Preliminary information suggests that the police officer entered the station and seriously injured the chief inspector and the head of public order by firing from his service pistol. The shooter himself was wounded in the leg and subdued by officers on duty at the station.

Following the incident, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the police station. Medical teams on the scene provided first aid to the police officers and transported them to the Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital and a private hospital. Unfortunately, the police station chief and his colleague could not be saved. Investigations at the police station are ongoing.
