This is the shocking moment a Met Police officer Tasers an out of control dog after it bit another officer outside Wembley Stadium.

Police descended on the scene in Engineers Way, just outside the iconic football ground, earlier today following reports that a man was in breach of a court order that prevented him from entering the area.

The incident descended into mayhem as when cops began arresting the man, his dog 'became aggressive' and mauled one of the officer's legs.

Footage from the scene just moments after the attack shows one officer approaching the 'dangerous' dog before firing her Taser at the animal, which then runs away in terror.

The dog's owner was arrested at the scene and taken into custody, while his dog is still on the loose, the Metropolitan Police said.

The video, which was posted to X, formerly Twitter, by  @CrimeLdn, appears to show the moment after the dog bit one of the police officers.

It shows a man dressed in a grey tracksuit lying on the floor as an officer is crouched above him.

Metres away, a female officer can be seen approaching the dog, holding the Taser upright, before discharging her weapon at the animal.

The dog then races away out of site as the officer with the Taser chases after it.

The camera then pans to the dog's owner who is now being pinned to the ground by two officers.

At the same time members of the public can be heard reacting to the shocking scenes unfolding in front of them.

One man is heard yelling: 'What are you doing you stupid c***. What are you doing. What are you on about?'

The man continues as he confronts one of the officers: 'What did you Taser the dog for?

'He wasn't doing anything. He's not doing anything. He's looking after his owner.'

'They Tasered the dog for no reason. Why did you Taser a dog?

'Are you lot sick in the head? Are you lot actually sick?

'I caught all that on my camera.'

One person, claiming to be the one who recorded the video, said the use of the Taser 'might be justified' as the dog had been 'moving crazy' and had 'bit one of the police officer[s] on the leg'.

Following the incident, the police officer who was bitten was taken to hospital and has now been discharged.

Meanwhile the dog's owner was taken into custody where he remains, with police still trying to trace the dog's whereabouts.

The Met said in a statement: 'Police were called to Engineers Way, Wembley following reports of a male, with a dog, who was in breach of an injunction preventing him from entering the location.

'Officers attended and the male was detained. Whilst detained the male’s dog bit an officer and became aggressive towards other officers and a Taser was discharged.

'The injured officer was taken to hospital. She has been discharged after treatment.

'A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault, breach of injunction and having a dangerous dog out of control. He was taken into custody, where he remains.

'Enquiries are ongoing to trace the dog.

'No other injuries were reported.'
