This is the dramatic moment police officers arrested two suspected drug-dealers at a McDonald's drive-thru after they boxed in their car and found a bag of white powder.

Police footage shows when officers moved in on the black Ford Focus at 9.40pm on Monday at the restaurant branch in Bobbers Mill, Nottingham after receiving intelligence it had been involved in drug dealing.

One unmarked police vehicle had followed the motor which was then penned in by a second police car to stop it from escaping at the fast food drive-thru.

The video shows one of the occupants passing a pizza box through an open window while a McDonald's worker stands nearby clutching a bag of food.

Nottinghamshire Police said the drive-thru had to be closed temporarily for the operation, during which one suspect complained of 'having his food spoilt.'

Cannabis, digital scales, two handsets and what appeared to be a 'dealer's list' was seized by the police.

A grinder containing a bag of white powder - suspected to be crack cocaine - was found inside the car by officers.

The police also discovered a small hunting knife in the glove box and cash was located as well as two smartphones.

A 31-year-old man and 51-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

They have both since been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.

PC James Hooper, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: 'These suspects were eager to enjoy some fast-food but our appetite for tackling crime is substantially greater.

'Both suspects co-operated during the arrests, although the male suspect did complain of having his food spoilt.

'We may have ruined his evening but drugs and weapons destroy lives and that is why we will continue in our mission to drive crime out of Nottingham.

'As part of this effort, we will continue to carry out proactive patrols to disrupt the activity of local dealers and reduce the associated risk of violent crime.'
