CORONATION Street fans have slammed the soap after they teased yet another affair on the show.
Many fans appeared to be at their whit's end with the ITV programme amid Toyah Battersby's current storyline.

Coronation Street viewers were already up in arms about the highly controversial dead baby plot which kicked off on-screen last night.
Now, amid the shocking storyline, a brand new affair for Toyah and her brother-in-law Nick has been teased after she confided in him about her dead child.
The two embraced with a hug and shared a moment which saw them almost kiss which has prompted speculation that the two could be headed for an affair.
However, fans have appeared to react in disgust as they berated the soap for rehashing boring plots as they picked up on its recent declining quality.

Coronation Street has been under the microscope increasingly over the last 12 months amid fears among fans and the wider public that the show has been losing its integrity and falling behind that of its rivals.
Over Christmas, Coronation Street missed out on a top 10 ratings slot for the first time since it began as its overall quality continues to plunge into what some have described as "abysmal depths".
Now, hitting out at the new plot lines, the feelings appears to be growing.
Commenting on the potential affair, one said: "So after Nick and Toyah nearly kissed in tonight’s episode, it would be so disappointing if they end up having an affair

"For me, it will show the decline in quality and care #Corrie has had since 2020 to now- well I would say the decline really started in 2022."
Another added: "Why couldn’t Toyah and Nick have just had a nice hug at the end without any awkwardness? Isn’t there any room for platonic relationships at all??

Before a third waded in to say: "Feels like they created a new trauma for Toyah (incase she's not been through enough) just for the sake of an affair storyline. I'm disgusted with the corrie executive producers for this tbh. She could've still had an affair with nick without it."
In an attempt to call out the many blunders amid Toyah's current baby storyline, one fan went back to the 2001 episodes to highlight all the major inaccuracies.
They wrote: "So we now know apparently six months on from Toyah's assault in April 2001, she gave birth to a child and buried it. Or did she. Let's revisit her scenes shall we?

"We begin with her appearance on 28th September 2001. Does it look like she's about 23 weeks pregnant here?"
In the scenes, Toyah was excited to be heading on a date with Sam Kingston, and looked slim and happy as they chatted in the Rovers.
Another clip shows Toyah encouraging her mum Janice, and doesn't appear to have any issues of her own.
The viewer tweeted: "Last bit from 12th October. Well I think we can safely assume as she's able to focus on Janice's issues that either she's not had it or she's a psychopath."
Other clips were captioned that she had the "stomach of a supermodel" and that "our baby-burying heroine is positively chipper!"

They concluded: "Coronation Street writers have told us a few porkies in the past, but this one is provably false.
"I'm stunned such a huge retcon has made it to air, and I'm disappointed the actors involved appear to have not objected to it."
