BOTOX and expensive fillers that can go awfully wrong - the first two words to spring to mine when it comes to maintaining a youthful glow.

But according to one woman, 73-year-old Jane, the secret is a £1 bargain buy you can find in your local Sainsbury's and other supermarkets.

One of the bargain finds the 73-year-old swears by is a basic soap bar

The stunning mum, who insisted she's never had any Botox, took to TikTok to spill the beans on how to achieve the ultimate glow without a single needle in sight.

Although Jane, who was posing in the video with her daughter, Kate Keogh, reckoned her skin was ''a bit patchy'' in places, there was no denying she looking ''incredible'' - and it's no wonder social media users thought she wasn't ''a day over 50''.

One of the key secrets to her radiant complexion, the adorable mother-daughter duo revealed in the video, was using Imperial Leather soap bar.

This purse-friendly beauty find, which sells for £1.15 at Sainsbury's for a two-pack, is something even Jane's mother used to swear by.

To finish off her skincare routine - yes, that's it - the 73-year-old would then apply some Nivea Cream, a 200ml bottle of which would set you back £5.99 at Boots.

A firm favourite since 1911 when the cream first hit the stores, the balanced formula of Eucerit, Pathenol and Glycerin of the cult favourite intensively moisturises and soothes the skin.

It then comes as no surprise the affordable skincare essential is gleaming in hundreds of positive 4.6-star reviews, with people describing it as ''superb''.

Chiming in, her daughter Kate was in total disbelief and said: ''Literally, soap and Nivea - and you have the most amazing skin.

''Which when I think how much I spend on skincare, honestly is wild.

''If you've never tried this before, it's such a lovely product,'' Kate couldn't stop raving about the Nivea Cream.

My DIY face wash made my skin age backwards - my texture improved, pores shrunk, and complexion got glowy

''It's such a thick moisturising cream and it's such a good base for your make-up.

''We love it - and if it's kept you looking this young at 73, it's such a bargain and it's such a good product.''

'A TIMELESS CLASSIC!'

Need more convincing to race to the high street to buy the cream? Then these rave reviews are sure to do the job, as bargain hunters can't seem to get enough of it,

One wrote: ''I have been buying this cream for several years and it has never let me down.

''Many people I know use this cream and their skin is beautiful; regardless of their age.

''The secret?! This cream! It’s so thick and moisturising and a little goes a long way.

Healthy habits to prevent skin ageing

Although a lot of this has to do with your genetics and how much care you take of your skin, there are also a few healthy habits that can make a huge difference.

Use sunscreen to avoid sun damage every day, no matter whether it's sunny or cloudy.

Avoid sunbeds, which have also been linked to skin cancer and premature ageing.

Avoid smoking, vaping and excessive drinking.

Stick to healthy and nourishing foods, such as green leafy veggies and fruit.

Make sure you get a good amount of sleep - roughly eight hours a night.

''A perfect night cream for the face, hands, body, etc. which easily absorbs and melts on the skin. It also has that beautiful & delicate Nivea fragrance too.' Nivea please DON’T EVER change the formula/ingredients of this product, it is gold! Will definitely recommend.''

Another chimed in: ''I normally buy more expensive items but quite honestly I can’t see any difference between Nivea and the other much more expensive products. I’ll be ordering more!''

Someone else wrote: ''This is my literal staple, so moisturising and great for more sensitive skin.''

'Wow, Jane is a NIVEA Queen'

Since being shared on the platform, where Kate posts under the username @kate_keo, their wholesome video has racked up close to a whopping 180k views in just one day.

Hundreds flocked to comments, where one wrote: ''Jane is both beautiful on the outside and on the inside, she seems so sweet.''

Even the skincare giant Nivea chimed in, writing: ''Wow, Jane is a NIVEA Queen 😍👑 and doesn’t she look incredible for it! Simple skincare works best.''
