  • That's all from Old Trafford

Another Saturday. Another afternoon of frustration, fury and resignation for Manchester United fans.

This time they witnessed their side fail to beat relegation-threatened Burnley amid a performance in which they were second-best for long periods.

The good news for the Old Trafford faithful is that there aren't many more weekends to suffer before the season draws to a close.

Still, we will be there to the bitter end with live coverage of United's remaining games . There are still points to play for, and some pride to be salvaged.

Thanks for joining us, and goodnight.

  • Red Devils pay late penalty

You know things are bad for Manchester United if even Premier League referees are awarding the opposition penalties at Old Trafford.

And the one given to Burnley today following a VAR review was the latest spotkick that the Red Devils have conceded at home for more than 17 years.

Zeki Amdouni's 87th-minute conversion earned the visitors a point, but is still some way off the 92nd-minute effort from Leighton Baines for Everton in December 2006.

  • Ten Hag unable to hide frustration

Erik ten Hag was a visibly frustrated man at full time.

Once again, the Manchester United manager watched his side huff and puff, eventually get themselves in front, and then throw away a lead at the end.

Very frustrated. It shouldn't happen. Over many phases of the game we were very good, and at the end we have to take the three points and a clean sheet. But we gave it away again at the end. We put ourselves in a winning position by playing some good football and creating loads of chances, and then to give it away in the final minutes is so unnecessary.

  • Match stats from Old Trafford

Manchester United goalscorer Antony had eight of his side's 27 attempts on goal - and still his team couldn't get the better of Vincent Kompany's relegation-threatened side.

  • United limping towards finishing line

If optimistic Manchester United fans had any remaining hope of sneaking their way into the Champions League, it will have evaporated after another afternoon of Old Trafford frustration.

The sixth-placed Red Devils are now 12 points behind Aston Villa in fourth, and six behind Tottenham in fifth; Spurs even have two games in hand.

With the English coefficient ranking taking such a hit in recent weeks, the Europa League is the best United can realistically expect - but they will do well to be wary of Newcastle behind them.

The Toon Army relegated Sheffield United today by hitting them for five, and are now just a point behind the Red Devils.

  • Full time - Man Utd 1-1 Burnley

It's all over at Old Trafford - and there are more than a few boos ringing out.

Antony thought he was the matchwinner in what would have been a rare moment of Manchester United joy for him, but instead he sends this game on his haunches with his head in his hands.

In truth, a draw is a fair result following a contest where both sides had a number of chances, but neither the confidence or composure to finish them.

The point will be worth a lot more to Burnley though, who have kept themselves alive in the Premier League relegation fight.

  • Man Utd 1-1 Burnley

90+4. Diallo has tried his luck since coming on, and this time it's the sub has had a shot blocked.

It's a fast and furious end to the contest.

  • Man Utd 1-1 Burnley

    90+2. Casemiro again!

This time his glancing header from a whipped free-kick is grabbed by Muric.

    90. There will be six minutes of stoppage time added on at Old Trafford!

Who wants to win this one then?

  • Man Utd 1-1 Burnley

    89. Casemiro almost restores Manchester United's lead immediately!

The Brazilian popped up in the Burnley box, but his effort on the turn is blocked.

  • Man Utd 1-1 Burnley

    87. Cool as you like from Burnley substitute Zeki Amdouni!

The Swiss striker steps up to take responsibility, and calmly sends Andre Onana the wrong way to score.

Burnley players quickly retrieve the ball, and head back to halfway as they celebrate. They still believe they can win this.

  • Equaliser!

  • Man Utd 1-0 Burnley - Penalty to Burnley!

    86. Sure enough, John Brooks returns from the pitchside monitor and points to the spot.

It will be Zeki Amdouni to face Andre Onana, and this is a huge moment in Burnley's season.

  • Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

    85. Burnley want a penalty - and we've seen this before!

Andre Onana has been magnificent this afternoon, but he has just smashed into Zeki Amdouni as he attempted to punch clear.

It was a woeful mix-up in the Manchester United penalty area, started by Aaron Wan-Bissaka's spooned clearance and continued by Casemiro's bizarre header.

VAR have had a second look at the incident, and are now recommending a review - and we know what comes next when that happens.

  • Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

    83. It's going to be a big final seven minutes or so for Burnley, who are not out of this game - but could soon be out of the Premier League.

  • Man Utd 1-0 Burnley - Man Utd substitution

    81. Erik ten Hag responds immediately to his side scoring by calling for Sofyan Amrabat.

The defensive-minded midfielder replaces Christian Eriksen for the final stages.

  • Man Utd 1-0 Burnley

    79. Antony's first Premier League goal of the season!

It had become of those games where it was going to require either a big error or a moment of magic to break the deadlock, and - unfortunately for Sander Berge - it is the former that obliges.

The Burnley midfielder took charge of possession deep in his own half, but a loose square pass was seized upon by Antony, whose smart first touch took him clear of the defence.

Berge made a desperate attempt to get back, but he couldn't catch the Brazilian, who drove into the box and steered his shot beyond Arijanet Muric's despairing dive.

  • Breakthrough!

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    76. Dara O'Shea and Alejandro Garnacho have been having their own personal duel in this second half, and now the two have clashed for a potential penalty shout.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley - Burnley substitution

    74. Jacob Bruun Larsen has tired in the last ten minutes, and now it's his time to make way.

There's no time for us bloggers to get comfortable though with a second spelling nightmare in Johann Gudmundsson on in his place.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    72. While it remains finely-poised, gone is the attractive attacking play of the first hour.

It's heading for an extremely scrappy finish.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    70. The home fans are unhappy as the Burnley keeper prepares to take a goalkick.

They're kidding themselves if they think he's timewasting though. The visitors need the points and - rightly - believe they can win this.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    68. This time it's Arijanet Muric's turn to make a flying save!

The Burnley goalkeeper responds acrobatically to flick away Alejandro Garnacho's rising dive.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley - Man Utd double substitution

    66. And here is some Manchester United movement.

Erik ten Hag opts for a double switch, introducing Amad Diallo and Scott McTominay.

Rasmus Hojlund - who has barely had a look-in today - and Kobbie Mainoo make way.

  • Man Utd 0-0 Burnley

    64. Superb defending from Wilson Odobert.

Garnacho found himself free of Burnley's high-line, and in on goal from halfway.

But the Frenchman - usually so attack-minded - found the energy to track back, and nudge the United player off the ball on the edge of the area.
