You can look forward to spotless and streakless windows if you use a newsworthy item for this clever hack.

It's a budget-friendly solution from Myles Robinson of Value Doors.

Follow his tips and you can effortlessly restore your glass patio doors to their former glory without breaking the bank.

Ditch your old rags because in the future you will be using something different altogether.

Head to your recycling bin for this one, because Myles uses crumpled newspapers.

"It is the secret to sparkling patio doors this spring and summer," he said.

"Newspaper fibers are naturally absorbent and finely textured, making them perfect for achieving spotless and streakless glass," he added.

Old newspapers are far more effective than cotton cloths and paper towels because they leave barely any residue.

The result: pristine shine all day, every day.

Myles breaks down his glass cleaning process into three easy steps.

STEP 1

Gather several sheets of old newspaper. Start collecting them for this purpose.

Then prepare a cleaning solution in a spray bottle, using ingredients from your store cupboard.

Mix white vinegar and water for its mild yet effective cleaning properties.

"Using a gentle, non-abrasive cleaner such as white vinegar will preserve your glass and keep it looking pristine," he said.

STEP 2

Spray the cleaning solution onto the glass and then use crumpled newspaper to scrub in a circular motion.

"The ink on the newspaper is a bonus, helping to lift stains for immaculate results," said Myles.
