WHITNEY Dean’s secret has been exposed tonight after she threatened a child in bizarre scenes in EastEnders.

The market trader - who is played by actress Shona McGarty in the BBC soap - has been hiding the truth about “foster daughter” Britney from Zack Hudson.

Viewers know that pregnant Whitney paid Britney’s druggy mother Keeley for her instead - effectively buying the youngster.

As far as Zack is aware they are Britney’s official foster parents.

However this week Lauren Branning discovered the truth and has been pressuring Whitney to come clean.

She warned her that if she didn’t tell Zack, she would.

But in tonight’s episode it was someone else who told Zack the truth - Britney herself.

The youngster is struggling having to cope with her vision and hearing problems - with Whitney and Zack not yet telling her her diagnosis of Usher Syndrome.

And as a result of the glasses she’s had to wear, she has been bullied by one of the school bullies.

She confided in them both but asked them not to get involved - which Whitney promptly ignored.

Whitney tracked down the bully and threatened her in the street.

And when Britney found out she was furious and threw a tantrum in front of Zack and Lauren saying she hated Whitney.
